This is the initiation in Religious life wherein the new comers are welcomed into the community to live with our sisters, experience the prayer and the life of sisters.
Duration : 3 months

Here the candidate learn more about the community and is led through a programme of prayer, spiritual reading, and a brief introduction to religious life. During this time the candidates are helped to understand their call .This is an opportunity for both the Sisters and the candidates, to know their motivation to religious life, intellectual capacity, moral and spiritual qualities, physical , mental and emotional maturity and natural tastes and aptitudes. Those with SSLC will continue their Plus Two course during this period.

The Postulancy is a period of a preparation for the religious life.
The aim of the postulancy is to promote a human and spiritual maturity of the candidate that will make her aware of God` s call and dispose her to make a progressive transition from secular life to the life of novitiate. This period allow the authorities to know the candidate and ascertain their necessary human, emotional and spiritual maturity to assume the obligation of religious life. Importance is placed on the candidate’s total development, so that she is prepared to make her choice freely and responsibly. Each candidate is guided and encouraged to deepen her religious knowledge and interior life. The postulants spend nine months in the formation house under the leadership of a mistress. During this period they go for a three month residential Theology course in other institution .The postulants also have the opportunities to involve in various apostolic works of the congregation.

Novitiate is the most important stage of formation. Growing in awareness of their responsibilities of living the evangelical counsels and vowed life, they enter into the religious life. . In our congregation, the novitiate lasts for 2 years; the first year is the canonical year. This year is for intensive spiritual formation .They grow deep into the conviction that God is their hope, treasure and security. They study in depth the Christian spirituality, liturgy and CSM constitution. The novice mistress guides the formation process and instructs the novices in interior life.
During the second year of the Novitiate, they grow into the awareness that contemplative life and active apostolic life are essential parts of our religious life. As part of their training, the novices go for regency in our convents and begin to work in the various fields of our apostolate together with professed sisters. During the last four months, the novice returns to the novitiate house for an intense period of prayer and recollection.And she prepares herself under the guidance of their mistress for the first profession of the vows of Obedience, Chastity and Poverty.

The period of Juniorate is from the time of first profession to the Final profession. Duration of this period is 3-6 years. During this period, they repeat their profession every year.
The aim is to help the temporary professed sisters to integrate personally, the formation they received in the novitiate through practical life experiences. Deepening in the religious commitment and growing in personal maturity they prepare themselves for the perpetual profession. Programmes during this period provide the sisters with spiritual and doctrinal formation and also professional studies, community experience and apostolic activities.
Before the Final profession the junior sisters spend a set period of 6 months together for the immediate preparation. Free from all external activities they devote this time to prepare for their perpetual commitment in the consecrated life.

God`s call and our response are to be constantly in the process of growth till the end of our lives. The aim is to remain renewed day by day in our covenantal life by being faithful in the charism of the congregation and accepting life experiences as Gods plan through constant study, exercise and formation. Thus, everyday of our life, we learn to start afresh from Christ and do the services in God`s love.
